-----------------------MINUTES ---------------------------
Mike LaBonte conducted the meeting.

Review of minutes for 11 Apr 2006:

- Ongoing AR for Mike to update web site AR was left out

Announcements - EIA Call for Patent Disclosure:

- No company declared a patent.

AR Review:

- Mike rewrite parser bug and submit.
  TBD

AR: Mike rewrite parser bug and submit.

Opens for new items:

Third review of parser bug 94 for IQ 2.2 check:

- We don't any want warnings when the combined I/V is OK, so
the single curve warning should be suppressed in this case.

Some discussion of encryption

Continued discussion of IQ level designations:

- For measurement and simulation should we reference the accuracy spec?
  - Might be too rigorous.
  - On the other hand, IQ should not overlap the accuracy spec.

- For Q sub-designations we don't need to have single-letter abbreviations.

- Should we make an exception for files that have no waveforms?
  - Some very fast and linear buffers do not require waveforms.
  - DDR will pass all checks and reach level 2.
  - FLASH.

- We can divide checks into categories:
  - Checks on existing data.
    - No controversy on these.
  - Required data:
    - probably not many of these to consider).
    - Siemens needs overshoot parameters.

AR: Mike categorize checks for next discussion

- How to group checks?
  - Each item not equivalent to others in importance.
  - Should we group by analysis task? SI, timing, PDS design, EMI
  - Kim: We need to enforce a minimum level of content, as opposed
to simply cataloging what a file contains.

- Cisco grading system described
  - Has designations for files that are to be used with caution.
  - A model vendor wouldn't want to ship anything but top quality.

Final topics

- We may want to consider fixing the hierarchical numbering system for the
checks to make future updates easier.
  - Simple is best.

- Sometimes having few users can be a plus, since extensive deployment
would make discussion of changing the IQ "legacy" difficult.

- Bob Ross has a model with absolute garbage data, that passes ibischk!
  - Every value in it is either 0 or 1f.
